In this regard, the present study aimed to investigate sustainable urban tourism development in the city of Gorgan using the SOAR strategic model. The type of research in this research is descriptive-analytical and field and library studies were used for data collection. The findings suggest that national and international attractions, landscapes of natural landscapes with appropriate and favorable climate, diverse and attractive historical-cultural monuments and heritage, along with other advantages and strengths Other Places In This City In Addition To Tourism Development Can Provide Sustainable Income For The City. Finally, factors such as: planning to increase the number of service centers, strengthening tourism infrastructure, infrastructure and tourism services, marketing and enhancing the culture of tourism acceptance are the expected results. به واسطه ارتباط دو طرفه توسعه پایدار و گردشگری پایدار، برای آن که گردشگری بتواند به توسعه پایدار شهر کمک کند، باید اثرات آن در شهر شناسایی شده و مورد توجه خاص قرار گرفته شود و در صورت مدیریت، برنامه ریزی منسجم و کارآمد و در کنار آن با نظر گرفتن مشارکت ساکنان محلی می‌توان از پتانسیل‌های آن جهت بهره مندی بیشتر برای دستیابی به توسعه پایدار شهری استفاده کرد. در همین راستا، پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی توسعه گردشگری پایدار شهری در شهرگرگان با استفاده از مدل استراتژیکSOAR صورت گرفته‌ است. نوع تحقیق در این پژوهش از نوع توصیفی_‌تحلیلی بوده و در جمع‌آوری اطلاعات از مطالعات میدانی و کتابخانه‌ای استفاده شده‌است. یافته‌ها حاکی از آن است ‌که وجود جاذبه‌های ملی و بین‌المللی، وجود مناظرو چشم اندازهای طبیعی با آب و هوای مناسب و مطبوع، آثار و میراث تاریخی- فرهنگی متنوع و پرجاذبه، در کنار سایر مزیت‌ها و قوت‌های دیگر در این شهر علاوه بر توسعه گردشگری می‌تواند درآمد پایداری برای شهر به ارمغان بیاورد. در نهایت عواملی مانند: برنامه-ریزی برای افزایش دادن تعداد مراکز خدماتی، تقویت زیرساخت‌های گردشگری، امکانات زیربنایی و خدمات-گردشگری،‌ بازاریابی و افزایش فرهنگ پذیرش گردشگر از نتایج مورد انتظار می‌باشد https://www.gahr.ir/article_103155_fba82b1fed3133098af29cf994193c3e.pdf
