Investigation and Evaluation of Factors Affecting the Destruction of Ancient Sites in the Highlands of Southwestern Iran: Prehistoric Sites in Laran County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari

Abstract
Ancient sites are one of the important components of the cultural history of any region, which are limited and non-renewable resources that are under constant threat of environmental and human forces over time. The aim of the current research is to investigate the role of geographical and human factors in the destruction of prehistoric sites in Laran district. The present research method is descriptive-analytical and it includes 27 sites, which were investigated by using Arc GIS and Spss software and the Pearson correlation statistical analysis method to determine the degree of correlation between the destruction of sites due to geographical and human factors and it was found that there is a high correlation between geographical factors and human factors with the destruction of ancient sites. In addition, multi-variable regression analyzes on the destruction of ancient sites by human and geographical factors were also carried out and it was found that human variables explain 93% and geographical factors explain 78% of the destruction of ancient sites. In the next step, prehistoric sites were prioritized/ranked using TOPSIS statistical analysis method to determine which area is most at risk or the most destruction has been done on it; And the results of the analysis showed that the site of Kholak is in the first place, Qandil Dareh 1 is in the second place, Qakhmish Cheshme is in the third place, and these are the areas that are most exposed to all kinds of destruction
