Abstract
Neighboring countries often have common geographical features, this proximity can lead to increased interactions such as trade, movement of people and cultural exchanges. They often rely on each other for commercial and economic cooperation, for this reason the movement of goods, services and investments is facilitated and leads to mutually beneficial economic relations. The economic interactions between Iran and the neighboring countries of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and the Republic of Nakhchivan have undergone significant changes, which is based on the increase in the volume of trade exchanges and contracts between these countries. Is. According to the statistics of Iranian customs during the first seven months of 2023, the approximate amount of Iran's exports to Azerbaijan is 303 million dollars, Armenia is 235 million dollars, Turkey is 2.749 million dollars, and Nakhchivan is 382 thousand dollars, and the approximate amount of Iran's import from Azerbaijan is 30 million dollars. dollars, Armenia is 29 million dollars, Turkey is 3 billion 759 million and Nakhchivan is 1 million 228 thousand dollars. According to the results obtained from the linear regression, the volume of bilateral trade between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Iran and Armenia, Iran and Turkey is related to foreign investment, and the volume of bilateral trade increases economic growth. Regarding Iran and the Republic of Nakhchivan, while bilateral trade plays an important role in strengthening economic growth, the share of foreign investment is not very significant.
