Investigating the contact points of Tehrani citizens in choosing a tourist destination

Abstract
Destination choice is the most important subject from the viewpoint of demand management. Its importance drives from being in tourists touchpoints when they gathering data. In general being in multiple destination portfolio and ideally being final choice is like hitting the target in the destination management. By this approuch investigating touchpoints is one of important destinations reserch pools. After identification, how to be present at those points and inter the minds and hearts of tourists will become important for the final choice. Main target of this article is identifying Tehranian citizens in travel destination choise. The research method is applied, which was done qualitatively. The statistical population of the research was the citizens of Tehran and the sampling was done as a random sample. The information was collected based on library sources and semi-structured interviews with Tehrani visitors from the Tehran International Exhibition of Tourism and Related Industries in February 2023. In order to analyze the conducted interviews, Atlas ti7 software was used. After coding the obtained information, the touchpoints of Tehrani citizens were explained in 14 concepts, 4 categories and 2 classes. According to the findings, the most contact points of Tehrani tourists lie in what is called word-of-mouth information, which is divided into two parts: offline and online.
