Abstract
Geotourism is a branch of knowledge that seeks to discover tourist attractions and expand the tourism industry in that place. Nowadays, paying attention to geotourism in all countries is of special importance for the expansion of the tourist industry. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the geotourism capabilities of touristic villages using the Hadzik model and the national park model. In the dynamic model (Hadzik), the value and importance of each geotourist place is estimated based on the indicators of scientific value and the surplus value of that geotourist place, and in the national park model, the value and importance of a geotourist place is based on two rates of management and tourism. Based on the results obtained from the dynamic model, it showed that Unar geotourist area has obtained the highest score compared to the other two geotourist areas with (2.31) and (0.39) points according to the scientific value based on the opinion of experts and visitors. According to the results of the surplus value according to the opinion of experts and visitors, Unar geotourism area has won the highest points with (2.72) and (0.72) respectively. Based on the results obtained from the national park model, it has been shown that Unar geotourist area has obtained the highest score compared to the other two geotourist areas with a value of (0.59) in terms of tourism and management. Therefore, it can be concluded that, based on the results, Unar geotourist area has a high potential to evaluate and develop and attract tourists in Meshkin Shahr area. Finally, it is suggested to study different subjects from more regions to evaluate the regions in future studies.
