Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to environmental, social and economic impact assessment of laser land leveling from the view of engineering (adopters of previous land leveling technology) and laser land leveling adopters. The qualitative method using multiple case study was used to collect data from 22 adopters of laser land leveling and 5 adopters of engineering land leveling. The sample was selected through purposive sampling technique. The farmers stated that improvement of rural landscape, reducing soil erosion and increased fertility are the most important environmental impacts and Interest in living in villages in the future, interest in continuing agricultural job and reducing the number of workforces are the most important social impacts of laser land leveling. Results revealed that laser land leveling increased income and decreased the costs. Finally, based on the results some practical recommendations have been suggested.
