Abstract
The aim of this research is the simultaneous analysis of torrential rains on December 12, 2001, February 2, 2006, and February 2, 2005 in Kiwi Chai catchment area of Khalkhal city and the extraction and analysis of effective systems in heavy rains using the environmental to circulation approach. Research Methodology: In this research, the daily rainfall of the Kiwi Chai catchment area was obtained from the meteorological station of Ardabil province and the daily discharge of Kiwi Chai in Khalkhal city was obtained from the water resources of Ardabil province, which includes the years 1987 to 2021, of which three days have heavy rainfall in It was winter season, it was extracted and it was filtered through Excel program and then it was sorted, and the maximum daily rainfall and maximum daily discharge of the catchment area of Khalkhal city were selected, and the maps of the earth's surface and the upper levels of the atmosphere were detected and extracted through the Nova site. that the rainfall was equal to or more than 30 mm per day was determined to determine the circulation patterns from the air maps of the ground surface as well as the maps of the upper atmosphere at 500 millibar levels. Findings: The result obtained from this research indicates that From the maps of the earth's surface, low pressures and high pressures, each of them have been influential in the occurrence of heavy rainfall in the Kiwi Chai catchment area, and in the maps of the upper atmosphere, the location of the area in front of the descent and the high divergence have been the main factors causing heavy rainfall in the studied area. Also, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean have played an important role in causing heavy rainfall in the region.
