Abstract
This research aims to evaluate the satisfaction of Tabriz citizens with the performance of the municipality in the management of urban green spaces, and has investigated various physical, social, economic and environmental components. According to its purpose, this study was of the type of applied-developmental research, and according to the method of doing the work, it had a descriptive-analytical nature. The research method included the use of one-sample T-test to analyze the data collected fromcitizens, has been used and by using the questionnaire method and determining the sample size by random sampling method and using the Cochran model, it was determined that 415 citizens were questioned, the results show that in several important aspects, satisfaction Citizens are at a low level. Among these things, per capita green space is 16.16 square meters in 2023, which is significantly less than the global standard of 20-25 square meters, and this lack has been raised as one of the main causes of citizens' dissatisfaction. In addition, the asymmetric distribution of green spaces in the city, especially in the central areas with more air pollution, is also recognized as an important challenge that has limited citizens' fair access to these spaces and affected their satisfaction. . In a more detailed analysis, it was found that citizens were satisfied with some other components such as the quality of access, cultural and sports equipment, the condition of furniture and lighting, and social security, which indicates the relative success of urban management in these aspects. The analysis of the results also showed that executive and structural problems such as old laws, conflicting laws, weak executive guarantee, lack of urban unit management, financial problems, and weak expertise are among the key factors that have negatively affected urban management and reduced citizen satisfaction.
