Abstract
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), as a structured method for organizing and analyzing complex decisions, is utilized in the field of urban planning for various purposes. However, for increased effectiveness and to address potential weaknesses, the AHP often requires integration with other methods, techniques, and tools. This study aims to identify and analyze research published in the urban planning domain that employs the AHP method within the timeframe of 2014-2024. The research methodology employed is a systematic review, and a multi-stage process was undertaken to identify and analyze relevant AHP studies. This research provides findings in the areas of most popular topics explored using the AHP method in urban planning, most frequently used tools as complements to the AHP, temporal trends in the publication of research utilizing this method, most prolific authors and journals in this area of research, and strengths and weaknesses of the AHP method in urban planning.
