Abstract
Today, the tourism industry is more than an industry, it is a dynamic global and social phenomenon that has its own complexities, and accurate recognition and scientific analysis of this phenomenon can provide a reliable framework for planning the tourism industry. In the present study, an attempt is made to identify and analyze the key drivers affecting the development of Meshkinshahr tourism. This article uses Delphi methods and cross-effect analysis and the use of MiqMaq software to identify the key drivers. This research is applied in terms of purpose and is based on futures, analytical, and exploratory methods in terms of nature, and was conducted using a combination of quantitative and qualitative models. By distributing the Delphi questionnaire among 25 tourism experts and specialists in two rounds, a total of 56 variables were selected and after scoring in the designed matrix table, the effect of the row on the matrix column was taken into account. The result obtained after entering the scores into the Mikmak software revealed that 14 factors were identified as the main and driving factors in the development of tourism in Meshkinshahr. Among these variables, appropriate space design and beautification of the city, reconstruction of tourist sites, man-made attractions, and water resources and water therapy have had the greatest impact, and if the urban managers of Meshkinshahr pay attention to these key variables, we can expect the development of Meshkinshahr in the field of tourism.
