Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate the roles of tribes and nomads in the villages of Ardabil during the Qajar period. Given the nature of the subject, the present research method will be descriptive and analytical, and the research data will be collected using library and documentary sources.
Tribes and nomads have always played a prominent role in the history of Iran until the end of the Qajar period as one of the important players in the political history of Iran.
The existence of the Shahsuan tribes and nomads and other tribes and clans in the Ardabil region as owners of a number of villages; They had taken over agriculture and paid taxes, which was important economically in addition to Ardabil for the country during the Qajar period. And the military role that the tribes of Ardabil played in the wars of the Qajar period as the pillar of the army. From a social point of view, since the number of nomads in the country was greater, it was also important for the government to achieve its political, military and economic goals through the nomads.
The research achievement shows that the tribes and nomads as owners of the villages; They played important roles in the political, military, economic, social, and agricultural spheres, which had a profound impact on the history of Iran during the Qajar period.
