Spatial Analysis of Social Development Indicators in Basht Township

Abstract
Since the existence of a social security system in any society increases life expectancy, improves the quality of life, reduces poverty and balances the distribution of income and the like, in recent year's social protection programs and Social security has expanded rapidly in developing countries, including Iran. In the present study, using the EDAS technique, a spatial analysis of development and social security indicators in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces was conducted, and an attempt was made to show the position of Basht Township in this field. The research is quantitative and analytical and the required data are obtained from the statistical yearbook of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces. The final score of EDAS decision-making technique shows that Boyer-Ahmad Township with a score of (0.996), Gachsaran Township with a score of (0.725) and Kohgiluyeh Township with a score of (0.557) have the highest scores of EDAS technique in development and social security indicators. The score of EDAS technique has been obtained for Dena Township (0.180), Bahmaei Township (0.147), Basht Township (0.085), Lande Township (0.000) and Charam Township (0.000). Basht Township, with a score of (0.085) and sixth place in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, does not have a favorable situation in terms of social development indicators, and planning for development and social security indicators in this Township requires serious attention.
