Abstract
Urban resilience is a key concept in facing natural hazards and requires measuring and strengthening the city's capacity in various structural and institutional dimensions. The present study aimed to analyze the level of resilience in Region 5 of Tehran, emphasizing four dimensions: social, economic, physical, and institutional. The research method is descriptive-analytical and data were collected using a questionnaire and a Likert scale. The statistical population consisted of 384 residents of the region and data analysis was performed using SPSS software. The research findings showed that the average social (3.58) and institutional (3.31) resilience were in a relatively favorable state, while the economic (3.12) and physical (2.87) components were evaluated at a lower level than expected. The one-sample t-test also confirmed a significant difference between the different dimensions of resilience. The results indicate that balanced development of physical and economic capacities along with strengthening social and institutional infrastructure can lead to real improvement of urban resilience. Based on the findings, suggestions were made for improving physical infrastructure, economic empowerment, and improving urban governance.
