Abstract
In today's world, urban health is one of the key components in measuring sustainable development and the efficiency of the urban management system. The concept of "healthy city" according to the definition of the World Health Organization is a city in which all citizens can live in a safe, healthy, dynamic, and participatory environment and have easy access to the services they need. In this regard, analyzing and evaluating healthy city indicators can be an effective tool for measuring the level of dynamism, justice, efficiency, and livability of a city. The present study aims to evaluate healthy city indicators in Ahvaz, as one of the southern metropolises of Iran, and examines various dimensions of urban health in physical, environmental, service, social, and economic dimensions. The research method is descriptive-analytical and based on library and documentary data, and information was extracted from official sources such as the Statistical Center of Iran, Ahvaz Municipality, Environmental Organization, and the Ministry of Health. Also, the TOPSIS multi-criteria decision-making model was used to analyze and rank the urban regions of Ahvaz. The results showed that there is a clear inequality between different urban regions of Ahvaz in terms of access to health services, environmental quality, public spaces, and safe infrastructure. Regions with better access to health services, open spaces, waste disposal systems, and efficient public transportation have higher indices.
