Abstract
Land reforms had also been carried out in countries like China, Algeria, the Philippines, and even the Soviet Union. Land reform was started 60 years ago. Three stages were planned for land reform. In this review study, we will examine the process of land reforms in Iran before and after the Islamic Revolution. In this study, articles were reviewed using data banks and the keywords 'land reforms,' without any time restrictions. The advantages of land reforms included the weakening of the feudal system and the emergence of technological infrastructure in villages. On the other hand, one of the disadvantages during the allocation process was that some of the transferred lands did not have the required quality and were unable to produce. Additionally, capitalists migrated from the villages, and in some cases, the villagers became poorer. Further studies are needed to determine the advantages and disadvantages and to correct the allocation of rural lands.
