Abstract
Today, the role and influence of information and communication technology and the tourism industry on the economic growth of countries is not hidden from anyone. Taking advantage of the internet space and the emergence of digital tourism, information and communication technology has transformed the efficiency of the tourism industry. This research was conducted in order to investigate the use of information and communication technology in the tourism industry of Tabriz city from the point of view of domestic tourists.In terms of nature, it is an applied and developmental research, and the data collection method is field-based, using questionnaires and surveys. The sample size of the survey was from the statistical population of domestic tourists entering Tabriz city in the summer of 1402 and it was estimated to be 384 people using Cochran's formula. This research was conducted in two qualitative and quantitative parts; In the qualitative part, it was investigated by studying the research conducted on the subject of literature, and in the quantitative part, it was done by using data analysis at two levels, descriptive and inferential, with the help of SPSS statistical software and group t-tech test. The results of the research showed that the use of information and communication technology in related affairs is desirable to some extent and tourists are familiar with the concept of digital tourism and its application in tourism.
