Abstract
Urban crisis management is considered one of the most important pillars of urban governance in the present era, and its importance has become more apparent than ever with the increase in urban population, the spread of natural and man-made hazards, and the complexity of urban infrastructure. Due to its exposure to hazards such as dust, seasonal floods, extreme heat waves, urban fires, and industrial accidents, the city of Ahvaz needs to utilize modern technologies to improve the efficiency of the crisis management system. The purpose of this research is to design a model for urban crisis management based on smart technologies with the approach of improving urban resilience in the city of Ahvaz. The present research is of an applied type and is conducted with a descriptive-analytical method. In the proposed model, technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, big data, geographic information system, drones, and digital twins are examined as key tools for monitoring, predicting, decision-making, and coordinating crisis operations. It is expected that the results of the research show that the integrated use of smart technologies can increase the speed of response, improve the quality of decision-making, reduce losses, and improve urban resilience to crises.
