One of the aspects of urban management that has recently been considered in Western countries and societies is the good governance of the city. In fact, the cities have not found a way to manage their own business, except for creating a platform for the development of democracy, and in this way they have acquired a new form of sovereignty, called "good urban rule." In this regard, the present study aimed to investigate the performance of urban management with a good urban governance approach in Gorgan city. For this purpose, descriptive-analytical method and field survey have been used. Also, the population studied in this study residents of the 1st and 2nd area The city of Gorgan has been selected using 200 Cochran method and the questionnaire has been distributed randomly among them. In order to measure urban management in the study area, five good city governance indicators including transparency, participation, legitimacy, accountability, and efficiency and effectiveness were used. The results obtained using Mann-Whitney test showed better situation in area one in two Then, the accountability and legality of the region are two. Also, t-test showed that the efficiency and effectiveness dimension with the average of 3.21 had the best status and then the participation rate with mean of 2.58 had an inappropriate situation compared to other dimensions.
