Urban‌ regeneration, while paying attention to the city's framework, cares about the inner and social structure of cities and leads to its harmony with the social life of people in areas that need attention. On the other hand, strengthen the capital foundations, including social capital, for the cities development has a great importance. In this regard, urban areas, mainly on the margin of cities, with the rural background, which are the result of the annexation of villages to the city, due to their cultural, social and physical structure, require not only gradual matching of its distinctive structure with the city, but also Urban regeneration. In this research, which has been done by descriptive-analytical method and is an applied study, social capital based on the parameters of trust and participation is the basis of studies and attempts have been made that in addition to identify the mechanism of urban regeneration in urban contexts, the relationship between "social capital", "participation" and "trust", and ultimately social capital explaination and the standards of public participation and trust status in urban regeneration, to be defined. According to the findings, the margins of cities and especially the surrounding villages to the city are considered as one of the most important sources of social capital in urban structures and with regard to rural social ties, there are many potential impacts. The need to strengthen social relationships in order to advance the city development, has made the need for attention to the concept of social capital more prominent and in this regard, the marginal areas and the annexed villages to the cities, due to the existence of stronger and more traditional social domains, can, with the formation of a comprehensive and strong trust, facilitate and accelerate the realization of urban regeneration objectives through effective and impressible participation.
