Abstract

The design of squares is a subject in urban planning where squares are a symbol of the culture and identity of a city. What can formally and visually prevent us from recognizing the role and importance of squares, cities according to their identity and attention to social tendencies within The city is physically that the form and Germany that are designed for the square have their own special shape. The position of urban identity has a complex and multidimensional concept that is the specific history and culture of a city and a society that governs the city. . Urban identity is the distinguishing feature of a city from another city, which causes the citizens to belong to the place and participate in the development of the city. The identity of cities is the possibility for human growth and development and the memories and symbols of a nation and culture. And humanity is one of the important issues in urban planning and urban planning by architects who can design squares based on urban identity as one of the necessities of sustainable development.
