Development of tourism, especially in urban and recreational towns, can play a major role in empowering local people and diversifying their economic growth, as well as creating new job opportunities in relation to other economic sectors, in the light of the influential factors and planning. The area of ​​Shandiz has long been a familiar destination for tourists and nature, and this is a landmark of the region's geographical, cultural and historical heritage. However, despite being in the vicinity of the Mashhad metropolis and having natural-cultural cultural benefits, tourism has not been able to develop properly in the field of tourism and become one of the most productive sectors of the country. The main objective of this research is to investigate the impact of tourism on improving the economic indicators of Shandiz and providing strategies for tourism development in this city. To achieve this goal, two methods of library and field studies have been used. It should be noted that in this research, spss and excel software was used to analyze the data. The results showed that tourism has been effective in promoting economic indicators (increase in income, job creation and job diversification). The planners and planners of tourism must, according to the circumstances of each destination, strive to develop a kind of tourism that best suits the features of that destination.
