English

Introduction: The importance of paying attention to green spaces in urban communities is undeniable due to their distance from nature, therefore the aim of this research is to find the optimal location of urban green spaces.

Method: In order to carry out this research, first, 8 indicators were extracted from reliable sources and they were placed in two categories, compatible and incompatible, and then 11 experts were interviewed to weight or actually give importance to the indicators, then to determine The importance and priority of each index in the software (EXPERT CHOICE) has been compared with pairs of data, and the weight of each index was obtained with an inconsistency coefficient of 0.6, which is an acceptable coefficient, and finally, using the WEIGHTED SUM tool in the software (GIS) to Superimposition of indicators was done and the output map was obtained.

Findings: The obtained results showed that due to the high density of uses in the center of Ardabil city, there are not many empty and accessible spaces, and in the 4th and 5th regions of Ardabil, the density of green spaces is very low, in contrast to the 2nd and 3rd regions, there is a relatively good density of green spaces.

Discussion: In general, it can be said that as we move from the city center to the outskirts of the city, the suitable areas for the construction of urban green spaces increase, this trend shows the concentration of different types of uses in the central areas of Ardabil city, which should be Increasing the level of green spaces in these areas should be properly planned.
