Tourists are looking for new and diverse products and experiences, and this desire has led to the creation of new concepts in the field of tourism called virtual reality in tourism and virtual tourism. Therefore, the study of new technologies has become very important, especially in the discussion of virtual reality. On the other hand, identifying the motivations of tourists and paying attention to their wants and needs helps us in planning and marketing. The purpose of this study is to investigate the application of virtual reality in tourism, in terms of application and function in Mazandaran province and also to investigate hedonic motivation in tourism. The required information has been prepared based on the documentary and field method (questionnaire). The statistical population of this study is a group of tourists in Mazandaran province. Since the statistical population in this study is unlimited, the sample size is estimated to be 385. Samples were also randomly selected. The collected data were processed based on descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The results show that among the research variables, the hedonic motivations affect subjective well - being. Also, the subjective well - being variable also affects continuous use. Therefore, if the hedonic motivations to tourists is reinforced, more mental well - being is achieved. Also, if tourists experience a more mental well – being they use that destination again. the results show that, the Perceived ease-of-use of virtual tourism, perceived usefulness of virtual tourism and perceived pleasure of virtual tourism don't affect the variable subjective well - being.
