Today, in the world, urban agriculture has been considered as a suitable response to the instabilities formed in the field of urban construction, especially in residential environments, due to economic, social, and environmental aspects. This research aims to identify and prioritize influential indicators of urban agriculture in social dimensions in residential environments and promote social sustainability. In this research, first, based on library studies and using the content analysis method, the most important influential indicators in social dimensions were extracted, then using the Delphi method; the components were validated in three stages, using the standpoint of 20 experts in the field of architecture and landscape architecture, and then based on the Likert rating system and statistical analyzes determined the importance and ranking of these indicators in the social systems of residential environments. Based on the research findings, 26 influential indicators of urban agriculture in social dimensions were identified and classified in two main components: "impact on physical and mental health" and "impact on social-cultural life". From the standpoint of experts, "stress reduction," "increased physical activity," and "depression reduction" indicators affecting physical and mental health and " providing leisure," "relationship development and social interactions," and "strengthening a sense of belonging and sense of community" indicators affecting on social-cultural life, respectively, were the highest scores in promoting social sustainability of residential environments and these results emphasize paying more attention to urban agriculture in residential environments to promote social sustainability.
