The aim of this study is to examine Iran's Geo-economic capacities in terms of establishing overseas bases in certain ports within Indian Ocean region.. Accordingly, this research seeks to answer the question of whether it is possible for Iran to establish overseas bases using geo-economic tools, and to what extent such a strategy could impact Iran’s security and economic interests. Using a descriptive analytical method, the study first evaluates Iran’s unique advantages in this domain, several ports in the Indian ocean region are analyze for their potential to host Iranian overseas bases. The findings indicate that by establishing overseas findings and connecting the ports of Indian Ocean countries with its own. Iran can reduce transit costs and overcome obstacles found in land corridors. This approach could enable Iran to establish a strong position in the emerging geo-economic order, thereby enhancing strategic security and expanding national and regional economic - commercial interests.
