The aim of the present study was to construct and validate a questionnaire and measure the effectiveness of organic architecture components in designing nature-friendly residential and tourism complexes in Sanandaj city using correlation and structural equation modeling. The statistical population consisted of architecture and urban planning experts and experts in Sanandaj city in 1403. The sample size was determined based on Cohen's table (1992) with a partial least squares approach, considering an error level of 0.05 and identifying a minimum amount of explained variance of 0.05 and a 10-fold rule in PLS-SEM (10×5=50 people). For greater certainty, 410 questionnaires were analyzed using a convenience sampling method among architecture and urban planning experts and experts in Sanandaj in 1403. In practice, 404 questionnaires were analyzed. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to measure the effectiveness of organic architecture in designing nature-friendly tourist accommodations in Sanandaj. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling with a partial least squares approach using 3Smart PlS software. The results showed that the effect coefficients of all component indices were significant (P>0.001). The developed questionnaire had appropriate convergent validity (AVE>0.7) and divergent validity (r>√AVE) as well as reliability (CR & CA>0.7). The values of explained variance (R2<0.67) and predictive fit (Q2<0.35) were acceptable, and the questionnaire had a strong goodness of fit (GOF=0.551). Therefore, the designed questionnaire can be used as a valid tool to measure the effectiveness of organic architectural components in the design of nature-friendly residential-tourism complexes in Sanandaj and other similar cities.
