Among the important issues in compiling the historical experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the role of parties and civil organizations in political participation, which is attempted to be addressed in the present study. The present study, by analyzing the history of the interaction between the government and ethnic groups and the trend study of this interaction in the Islamic Republic, seeks to answer the question: What trend has the political participation of the Kurdish ethnic group undergone in the Kurdistan province, considering the ethnic policies of the governments after the Islamic Revolution? And what role have parties and civil organizations played in the political participation situation in the Kurdistan province? It seems that the ethnic policy of the Islamic Republic, by adopting an approach of unity in diversity and an opportunity-oriented approach to ethnicities through the creation of an electoral mechanism, political parties, associations, and civil organizations, has paved the way for the political participation of the Kurdish people in the structure of the Islamic system, and has paved the way for them to rule over their own destiny. The research findings show that political parties and civil society organizations in favor of political participation in Kurdistan have played an active role in different presidential election cycles. Active political parties used their capacity in two areas: political mobilization and political participation. They have engaged in political mobilization using ethnic values and symbols in successive periods. In all these periods, ethnic demands such as the mother tongue, local culture and customs, and the implementation of the province's administrative and administrative affairs by the indigenous people of the region have been the only support that they have used inside and outside the system to try to attract the attention of the people of Kurdistan.
