Assessing landslide susceptibility in areas vulnerable due to geographical conditions and human structures is essential. The Sattar Khan Ahar Chay reservoir dam in East Azerbaijan province is one such area. In this research, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Logic were employed to investigate landslide susceptibility potential. Landslide factor maps (slope, aspect, lithology, land use, elevation, distance from fault, distance from road, and distance from river) were prepared within a Geographic Information System (GIS) environment and subsequently overlaid with the landslide distribution layer of the study area. Using GIS tools, the importance of each influencing factor was analyzed, and after standardizing each parameter, a landslide susceptibility potential map was generated. The results of this study indicate that 5.97% of the total area of the study region falls within very high potential zones, 31.38% within high potential zones, and 39.68% within relatively high potential landslide zones. Furthermore, the results revealed that the axis and reservoir of the Sattar Khan Ahar dam are located in a zone with relatively high landslide potential.
