Climate change in Iran, especially in mountainous areas where surface water resources are supplied by snow and winter precipitation, has had serious impacts on the quality of water resources. This research analyzes the impact of climate change on the quality of water resources in mountainous areas of Iran and uses hydrological simulation models to investigate changes in water quality in these areas. Based on hydrological data including temperature, precipitation and evaporation, changes in water resource quality such as suspended particulate matter, pH, EC and water chemical composition will be investigated. Accurate simulation models will be developed to predict changes in water quality under different climate change scenarios.
Climate change, especially in mountainous areas of Iran, can have serious impacts on the quality of water resources. This research aims to investigate and model these impacts and can help create solutions to improve water resource management and sustainable use in the future. This research also examines the relationship between climate change and water resource quality in line with sustainable development policies and addressing water crises. The results of this research can help water resource managers in mountainous areas design optimal water quality management methods in the face of climate change and develop plans to address drinking water and agricultural crises.
