abstract
Landslides are one of the environmental and geomorphological hazards that cause damage and loss to humans, property and assets. This hazard has accelerated with human intervention in recent decades. The importance of landslides has led to the identification and zoning of landslide areas in the Northern Zagros Mountains in this article. The working method is as follows: first, information layers are prepared, which include slope, slope direction, altitude, distance from fault, distance from river, communication routes, lithology; land use, and based on expert opinion, they are weighted using the AHP model, and then the obtained weight is applied to the information layers, and finally, the maps are combined in the ARC Gis environment, and the final map of landslide-prone areas is obtained. The results of the research show that steep slopes, medium altitude, sedimentary and marly formations, proximity to faults and rivers, and under the influence of human activities are most sensitive to landslides. This has caused the study area to have a high potential for the occurrence of slope movements, especially landslides. The final map and analysis of the layers can provide an effective tool for identifying high-risk areas, planning sustainable development, and reducing human and financial losses to manage landslide hazards in mountainous areas.
