Dehyaries, as the principal local governance institutions in rural areas, play a fundamental role in planning, delivering public services, developing infrastructure, and improving the quality of life of rural residents. Therefore, evaluating their managerial performance can help identify strengths and weaknesses and provide a basis for improving rural management processes. The present study aims to analyze the managerial performance indicators of Dehyaries in the Central District of Jam County in 2025(1405in the Iranian calendar). In terms of purpose, this research is applied, and in terms of methodology, it adopts a descriptive–analytical approach. The required data were collected through library research and the review of relevant documents and official records. The study population consisted of 36 villages located in the Central District of Jam County. The findings indicate that the performance of the Dehyaries in providing public services and implementing development and infrastructure projects was relatively satisfactory. However, they faced considerable challenges and shortcomings in managerial indicators, including strategic planning, public participation, transparency, accountability, human resource management, and the adoption of modern management approaches. Furthermore, significant differences were observed among the Dehyaries regarding access to financial resources, facilities, and managerial capacities, which directly affected the quality of service delivery. Overall, enhancing the managerial capabilities of village administrators (Dehyars), expanding specialized training programs, strengthening local community participation, improving performance monitoring and evaluation systems, and adopting the principles of sustainable and environmentally oriented management can substantially improve the efficiency of Dehyaries and contribute to the achievement of sustainable rural development.
