As one of the pillars of tourism, geotourism plays an important role in the economic development of regions. Due to its location in the southern slopes of Alborz and its hydro-climatic situation as well as its political position (close to Tehran), Damavand County has a high potential for the development of geotourism, and for this reason, in this research, the geotourism capabilities of this city are evaluated. Been paid. This research is based on descriptive-analytical methods. In this research, library information, information obtained from field visits, a 30-meter high digital model, and different layers of information have been used as research data. Also, in this research, Zouros and Comanescu methods have been used to evaluate geosites. This research has been done in two general stages, in the first stage, the susceptible geosites of Damavand city have been identified, and in the second stage, they have been evaluated using the Zouros and Comanescu methods. Based on the results of the Zouros method, the Keilan Valley geosite has the highest score with 68 points, and the Masha plain geosite has the highest score with 68 points in the Comanescu method. In total, the results of two methods (average points) have shown that Keilan Valley and Masha plain have the highest points with an average of 67.5 points and are considered as the most valuable geosites of Damavand County. After these geosites, the geosites of Tar and Huyer lakes and Chenar flight site have the highest points with an average of 65.5 points.
