The aim of the present research is to investigate the distribution of administrative-government uses in the city of Ahvaz with the approach of urban planning. The descriptive-analytical research method is based on library and documentary studies and field investigations in the city of Ahvaz. In the analysis phase, using Arc GIS and Geo DA software, a spatial analysis has been carried out and the distribution of the population and government-administrative uses in the city of Ahvaz has been investigated. The results of the research have shown that the existing government-administrative uses of Ahvaz city do not have a fair distribution among the urban areas, and except for the 2nd urban area, the rest of the areas have a small share of these types of uses. Therefore, it is expected that city managers will realize the importance of balanced distribution of these uses, so that with their future actions and plans, the balanced distribution and allocation of government-administrative use to each of the areas while maintaining the practical coherence of this use and in line with the fair enjoyment of the said use by urban areas take a step and become the foundation of environmental sustainability.
